Joe Jackson, the father of the late Michael Jackson, doesn’t seem to mind cashing in on his son’s death
While Michael Jackson was alive, he rarely said anything good about his father, Joe Jackson. Now, with the pending release of Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” film, a documentary which features behind-the-scenes footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing for his series of comeback concerts at London’s O2 arena, Joe Jackson is gearing up to make some big bucks.
Joe Jackson to Offer Screenings of “This Is It” in London
Apparently, when “This Is It” opens in London, Joe Jackson will offer screenings at select locations during the first week. Word on the street is that he will be “compensated” approximately $250,000 for his trouble, which includes sharing some stories about he late Michael Jackson with audiences prior to the screenings. I wonder if Michael Jackson is rolling in his grave yet…
“[Joe Jackson] stands to make more from these London shows than from his Vegas deal,” said a source close to the London project.
Joe Jackson to Offer VIP Packages of “This Is It” in Las Vegas
Joe Jackson is also offering VIP packages for the openings of “This Is It” on October 26th and 27th in Las Vegas, with prices ranging up to $3,000 per ticket.
Joe Jackson didn’t seem to need much time to mourn the death of his son, Michael Jackson. Joe Jackson had been banned from Oktoberfest, the German beer festival, because event organizer Sepp Kratz felt that he should not be partying and drinking beer so soon after his “child has passed away.” Joe Jackson requested access to a VIP marquee at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany but was denied entry.
