According to sources of the New York Post, Michael Jackson’s family and owners of his cherised Neverland ranch have decided to convert his legendary home into a Graceland-like amusement park.
It has been rumoured that Michael Jackson’s family could open Neverland ranch to the public as early as Christmas. The Michael Jackson family, Colony Capital, a private equity firm, and Michael Jackson’s brother Jermaine Jackson have set an ambitious timeline for completition.
The Neverland ranch amusement park will include a museum, concert venue and amusement park.

Elizabeth Farnum, a Neverland ranch neighbor who lives five miles from Neverland ranch, said her neighbors don’t want any kind of amusement park that’d bring visitors to their quaint, quiet neighborhood.
The Neverland ranch area is zoned for agriculture, with narrow roads and septic tanks — there are no nearby sewer lines — so construction of a Michael Jackson-themed park would force huge infrastructure upgrades.
“I’m pretty sure anyone who lives on the road would say that, that it wouldn’t be a popular idea,” Farnum said. “Our experience is that a majority feel that way.”
